September 2019 Annual Meeting
The 2019 Camcore Annual Meeting will take place from Tuesday, September 3 to Tuesday, September 10, 2019, in Porto, Portugal.
This meeting will be a bit different in that our primary focus will be strategic planning for the next ten years. Therefore, the field tour part of the meeting will not be as large as normal, but we will have two days at the end of the meeting to visit forestry and tree breeding operations of The Navigator Company, a large Portuguese pulp and paper company. Nuno Borralho, a well-known tree breeder from Portugal, is helping arrange our visit, and we’re sure it will be very interesting.
Porto is a large city with plenty of direct international flights. We are working on the specifics of hotels, costs, field tours, etc., and more details will follow soon. We hope to keep the overall cost of the meeting somewhat less than our typical full 10-day meeting.
Once again, this will be a very important meeting where we define our strategic priorities for the next ten years. It is important that all members are represented as we make discuss a number of important issues. Please put these dates on your calendar, and begin the process of requesting permission to attend. We look forward to seeing everyone in Portugal in September.
